As an Interior Designer...
My passions have always been art and science. Design research is both an art and a science, so I feel like I have found my place in the design industry. I am currently pursuing my Master of Arts degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Design Research & Sociology focusing my research and analysis on the relationship between society and culture with architecture and design. Design research is a fundamental principle to inform the design process by understanding the history and phenomenology of people and their built environment. As Frank Lloyd Wright stated, "I never design a building before I’ve seen the site and met the people who will be using it."
